Review on Meriwool Lightweight Merino Wool Thermal Pants For Women - Perfect Base Layer Bottoms by Joy Bell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely light weight, not suitable to wear alone

These are soft, and great for a pajama or lounge around the house type leggings, but from some of the photos they give the impression you could wear them as a legging in winter. I think they are too thin for that, unless your top is on the below hip length.Size wise I ordered the small. I wear a 26 in jeans and a women's size 2 in most brands. These fit well, slightly loose - so definitely not a compressive or athletic fit. I could have sized down but I am always wary of wool shrinking on me if someone helps me with the laundry. If you want these as a base layer size down. They are a bit long for me inseam wise, I am 5'4" and have a pathetic 28" inseam - I can fold the entire cuff over so I would say they are aimed, perfect fit wise, for someone who is 5'7 or 5'8"?Love the range of colors this brand offers, definitely makes wool more chic and appealing. I think these make a perfect winter sleep layer as they are very light weight, breathable, and keep you warm without being suffocating. My one (minor) complaint would be that I expected something that is 100% Merino wool to be slightly softer. Not to say these are scratchy in anyway, but some of my wool definitely has a more luxe feel to it.

Cons
  • The material is not durable and wears out quickly
