This was my first water heater installation and replaced the existing one in my Lance Truck Camper (due to age). the following flaws: - approx. 6 ground screw holes (each one I "fixed" the hole by taking apart everything that was attached to it, then using a center punch around the edge of the hole to back it up a bit"stuff" so that the screw might "bite") - cut the insulation off the large red wire going to the controller (this is a packaging issue as the sharp edges of the device sheet metal press on the wires during shipping). I just repaired it with shrink tape, but this type of defect still shouldn't appear from the former (which was the same but without the electrical element). The new unit has a sheet metal box to house the 110 volt connection to the camper, but there simply wasn't room to accommodate this new feature. The simple fix was to remove the box and plug it in elsewhere (minus the box); Not a big deal, but I'm glad I took my time installing it. performance is great! Fast heating with only gas or electricity or even faster with both. I like it! Conclusion: Great product, but check carefully before installing to make sure all screws are tight and there is no obvious damage.
