1) Serious problem: There are leaking gaps in the places where the rotary ring for adjusting the suction power is located. Gaps cause severe suction reduction when the suction reduction holes are close together. PHOTO is a cat toy with a metal part of a bell on the bottom, so it's not as light as a feather. The 1st photo shows where the outgoing intake manifold sucks air. As you can [hopefully] see in 2nd 2nd, the suction escaping around the *closed* ring is enough to hold it by itself. Even when the ring is closed, the suction of air can be heard. The last 2 photos are the only way to keep the suction from coming out: the tape wraps completely around the ring, preventing it from moving at all. This completely defeats the purpose of controlled suction. If you have a hard carpet and never need to lower the suction power, this might be perfect for you. Unfortunately for those with more delicate or older carpets like me, full vacuuming isn't always an option unless you want to rip up/destroy your carpet. (I put my included ripped hose back to see if it always happened and I just didn't notice it before, but there was no air intake when the ring was closed, so with this design that's clearly an oversight.) 2) Small problem: the red latch came loose immediately after attaching the hose to the vacuum cleaner. HOWEVER, this is incredibly easy to fix by simply snapping it into place and carefully aligning the spring with the two tabs where it belongs. After that it didn't work anymore. I ordered a replacement and experienced the same suction issue, so I'm going back and trying a different product. everything I had) the suction power is quite high, although it is actually due to the vacuum.
