Lots of hidden compartments to hide your stuff. The rear compartment can be used for example for a wallet and passport/ID when travelling. You want and it would still be compact for travel. Sometimes when you stuff things in your backpack, it can take on the wrong shape. Not so with this backpack. It stays in this rectangular shape. We used it when it rained in LA and it kept all of our stuff dry. Can't recommend enough!
