The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

My first laptop, I had to get used to the macOS system, but I got used to it quickly enough. Perhaps not for everyone, but for me now this is the friendliest system. It is especially convenient to use the device in an ecosystem with other Apple devices, especially if you add standard applications to this: notes, reminders, photos, calendar. For example, sometimes I use the iPad as a second screen if there is no other monitor, plus a laptop paired with AirPods is just great to use. After more than a year, the battery lost 8% of its capacity, according to the information of the device itself. A third party app shows a loss of 13% and 250 charge cycles. Used daily on battery power.

Pros
  • Great car for the price! Acquired for study and programming: it copes with its tasks perfectly. I did not specifically conduct any stress tests, but in the work of my programs I noticed an impressive processor speed. The keyboard, sleek aluminum case, resolution and color reproduction, trackpad - I fell in love with all this immediately. The new battery holds a charge for a day even with very frequent use of the device, at first it was just some kind of miracle for me. There is nothing to say about the screen, everyone has already heard about it. Finally, you can comfortably watch videos in 4k. Viewing angles and brightness are excellent, no glare. I really liked the absolutely silent operation due to passive cooling. The hostel is especially convenient - you won't disturb your neighbors at night. No more howling cooler, and no more feeling that the device is overheating. Aluminum perfectly removes heat, even under heavy loads, the maximum that happened - the place between the keyboard and the screen becomes moderately hot.
Cons
  • The Apple company acted rather meanly by blocking one core of their chip in the Air model, although without it, I must admit, the device completely suits me. I noticed an annoying problem in the Safari browser - some fancy web pages seem to load the device too much, which the browser itself notifies, as a result of which the page may simply freeze. And some pages can only be opened through the Chrome browser. It can be seen that these are optimization problems, this happens at least extremely rarely. For the best user experience, I would still advise taking a device with 16 GB of RAM. The screen bezels are a bit thick for 2022, but that's more of a nitpick.
