I have several prisms including several that cost significantly more than this and a lot less. The main difference is the quality of the material - I have a 2 inch prism that produces phenomenal "rainbows" but it costs around $40. This prism is impressively large and will produce a rainbow, but not as spectacular (that's on my side). in comparison, and nowhere is as accurate or "scientific" as in lab comparisons.) For optical experiments, use as photo props, etc. This is a must have (especially for less than $12!) - Pair with a pair Glass balls and she can take some trippy shots.
