Your app syncs with Evernote and a few others, but they need access to read your notes and the privacy agreement was lengthy and complex, on top of the fact that I had to agree to something they didn't link to have provided read. Sounds like a scam to extract data from my notes. The app itself doesn't do any handwritten transcription so you can just take photos of your notebook pages for free because that's all you get from this device. Your notes are not searchable but are backed up. It might be worth it for some, but for me I'd rather use my pencil and old notepad and take snapshots of very important pages for backup than make my life miserable by charging my pen etc. What if I have my pen lose? leave at home/work? Also, the notebook has pages that stick out on the sides to make it look like a tablet (lame). Without hardcover protection, they only break in a backpack and in everyday life, like the strong edges of an old notebook. I'm returning the pen and notepad. Bad design, bad implementation, missing features. It looks more like a public beta test to me. Once the features to transcribe my handwriting to look up my notes are implemented I will try again.
