Worked straight away with no problems and had no problems. The optional fan eco-switch seems to work effectively, but I use it all the time with the fan running because it's just more reassuring and gives me more peace of mind. I love the fact that it's fully modular as it makes it easier to replace if I ever need to RMA for some reason (fingers crossed). This is my first EVGA power supply but it has a great warranty, good specs, great reviews and very good build quality. Just make sure your body is big enough to handle this bad boy! I do want to mention one thing, but without subtracting the stars, is that the PCI-E power cables on this PSU stand out in an unsightly red color and are more visible compared to other black cables. I didn't realize this when I bought the PSU and I have a case with a window that makes it easy to see the cable to my GFX card. Well, life goes on and I'm sure I'll get used to it with time. Otherwise it could not have been happier.
