I wasn't aware of how light and thin it was when I ordered it. And to be honest, I chose it because it came with a case, and I keep all my tools in cases so teens don't see "low-hanging fruit." I've used it about 6 times because it works. But I would like to buy better - better, which means "heavier". I can honestly say that it heats up well and cools down quickly. I drilled out my daughter's plastic moose and replaced his springy head. And the gun turned out to be no worse than the heavier one. However, next time I need more glue, I'll just buy a better, bigger, and safer gun. FYI, I wear oversized women's gloves with a size 7 ring. I don't have graceful hands. But they are by no means as big as men's hands. I will say a word. I love the mat that comes with the gun. This makes the cute mouse pad CUTE and larger than most mouse pads. I use it on my desktop. When using a pistol, I use an old kitchen towel to drain. So let's look at a thicker plastic gun body and a slightly larger body to store glue sticks so they don't just rattle around the gun. Oh, and one more thing, finger gummies. Stupid. I prefer mouse pads to finger pads and prefer a more professional case. It's more like the pencil case I had in 6th grade.
