I thought my 6-pin/2 USB power strip was defective because the red power button was not lit, only the green safety switch was lit. When I posted a question to the community about this, it seemed to me that some people had the switch lit and others didn't. The difference is that the red switch is lit on the 8 socket model but not on the 6 socket model. The support team took very good care of my request. It seems their web team put both models on the same list and they immediately sent a replacement before confirming it should work with the model I bought. They told me to keep both units. Echogear has great customer service and really stands behind their products. Original rating. I just received an Echogear 6 connector with a USB splitter and the red light is not turning red indicating my gear is NOT protected.
