Some pros: • On LAN/WAN ports including WI-FI keeps good speed; • Possibility to hang on the wall; • A lot of tools integrated into native firmware; (VPN, FTP, UPnP, DDnS, Print Server, IPv6, Firewall); • Two usb 2.0 ports for connecting external HDD or other devices. UPnP for watching movies works great; • Ease of setup, and it seemed to me the ability to configure almost any provider; • Long time without failures and reboot; • 5G; • ASUS AiCloud 2.0; • "Wake on Lan" is integrated into the default firmware; • Who has children - "Parental control"; • QoS. Has cons: • This, of course, is not critical for most, but for some reason the default firmware does not support ssh; (Merlin solves this problem) • Someone may be annoyed by _not_ very dim device activity LEDs • The router is always warm, but I don’t know if this is a drawback)
