This unit requires 25 volts AC not DC.
my house came with a DC power supply for the door bell. i hooked up the new Ring and it would lose its mind and ring for no reason. finally figured out the RIng uses 25AC like every other house i have lived in. once i swapped to a 25 AC it worked as marketed. its nice that this unit detect body shapes and does not alert you if a car of truck goes by. you can configure this option.
