I bought this for a ten (10) year old boy who has the body of a twelve (12) year old; it fits great, knee length and my grandson loved the hooded part, i had to force him to take it off because he literally spent all sunday in it, i washed it in cold water but hung it out to dry, i don't want it to shrink. I'm pretty sure if I tumble dried it it would be fine except I tumble dried it on a warm or gentle cycle.
