A simple solution to a simple problem
I used it to power on my Revain FireTV as the TV stand I bought didn't come with a small shelf. The only downside to this product is that I wish there was some sort of rubber feet to attach to the feet that touch the back of the TV. As well as the platform, it would be wise to get something like a non-slip cutting mat. The surface of the platform is a bit slippery for plastic to plastic contact. If the product has "small rubber feet" then everything is fine!
