Review on Deluxe Wooden Storage by Melissa & Doug by Eric Basler

Good learning product

I agree with the post that Flitsy read. These blocks are ideal for assessing both cognitive and motor function in young children. Despite the "paint chipping" and "poor quality" reviews, I bought these blocks anyway because kids eat far worse things than some non-toxic chipped paint. Anyone who has complained that the blocks are too small should probably read the product description before buying. I always take care of my daughter. I don't watch her all the time, but I do check on her every 10-20 minutes to make sure she's okay. She is 9 months old; she puts them in her mouth from time to time (not quite, like a corner), but mostly throws them up one at a time. I don't think these blocks pose a choking hazard. ALL letters are included in color; Plain (inked) letters vary; The images are different and do not match the letters in the block; Numbers go up to 9; and there are 4 additional blocks. What I do with my daughter is teach her 3 letters a week with the matching picture block. She is concentrating as I put her in front of her, but of course her concentration time is short at this point and she will try and then move on. I love this educational quality time. I know that eventually she will understand. I have provided photos of all sides of the letter "I". The back of the "I" - "V". I personally find these blocks to be the perfect size.
