Review on 🖨️ Canon MG2525 Inkjet Printer with Scanner/Copier: High-Quality Photo Printing in Black by Percy Haulin

I haven't had any real problems with the printer yet, but I'd like to warn anyone who buys one to be careful where you download the drivers. Most laptops no longer have CDs, so you'll have to go online to download them. In the box with my printer was a note with instructions on how to download the drivers, I should have been suspicious right away because. Instead of a booklet or quality sheet with a gun logo, it was very cheap paper with no gun logo. which told me to go to the website url. (accidentally omitted or I would have added the URL) I typed the URL in the address bar and no page appeared, but an almost identical URL appeared on the search results page with the heading "Gun Drivers". I didn't look closely at first, but the only difference was "/" in the URL instead of "/" on the paper. The site itself said it was a driver download site for my model. Again, I should have known better because the site only had one gun in regular font, no logo, and it was poorly designed. But I didn't think so, so I clicked download. I keep getting an error message saying I should call the number because there is a problem. I called the number and it was clearly an attempt to break into my laptop. The person (on a very bad line) said the error meant I had a virus "on my network" and it must have taken over my laptop at that very minute and he could fix it. I know this is a common scam where hackers get your information and force you to download software that allows them to take control. I hung up but went back to the newspaper and checked the url provided several times but it didn't exist. I have no idea how the paper got into the box, but I don't think the cannon would have destroyed the printer drivers page. Eventually I found the right page too, and it was on the Cannon website, with the Cannon logo and all. Shame on me I didn't realize this sooner but there is clearly a fake gun driver site out there designed to hack into people's laptops. please be careful
