My daughter is 3 years old, 40lbs and regularly wears a size 5T so I ordered a size 5 in black. When I first opened the package I thought it ran small but when I put it on it fit her perfectly and still had room to work. YOU MUST HAND WASH! I was so happy with the material, it's durable, breathable and stretchy. I went ahead and ordered another one in white after being very happy with it!
