Very efficient and durable.
I love these natural fiber brushes. They work great with fruits and veggies, although too harsh to use on pairs and peaches. You can get a lot of life out of each one by not rubbing too hard and drying completely between uses. I shake it vigorously to dry and then hang it up to air dry. It is also necessary to stay hygienic (the same goes for sponges). The only minor downside is that they lose fiber as they age. However, I prefer plastic particles in my food.
