Great hydration belt but water bottle leaks

This is my first water belt and I wanted one for running that can hold more water than the 2 x 6 ounce bottles that come with many belts for water. This water belt did it! So far I've used the hydration belt for two long runs of 10 and 12 miles. The bottle can hold up to 16 ounces (which is still not enough for long-term use, but better!). The water bottle sits nicely on the lower back and this belt is very light even when the bottle is full. The zip pocket is very handy and has room for a few energy supplements and house keys. I don't run with my phone (no real runner should!) so I don't care how the phones fit in my pocket. The belt also has some nice touches including a lanyard to keep your water bottle in place and an additional lanyard to attach any item of your choice to your belt. My only complaint is that the water bottle leaks (note). If the bottle is pushed while running, water will splash on the cross. In terms of comfort, it doesn't really bother me as I sweat a lot and the extra water doesn't really bother me. But in terms of hydration, even losing 1-2 ounces of water while running is a bummer considering it's about 15% of the bottle's capacity.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Minor issues
