I get up a lot at night and it's a lot easier to get this night light than turning on a light that's too bright. I can use it to walk around the house and go back to bed. I can use it to check CPAP without having to get up and turn on the light. Just touch and light will appear, touch again and the color will change to a softer tone. I gave it to my granddaughter and she liked it so much that I bought it. Little kids don't always admit they need a night light, but this doesn't scream "afraid of the dark!" just a lightweight light to keep on hand, and the soft body is perfect for keeping next to a pillow to keep.
