I've had several other grips in the meantime and this is by far one of the best grips money can buy. It mounts with a hot shoe mount so you can very easily attach it to the top of a mirrorless camera or DSLR, but if you watch my video you'll see that I attached mine to the top of the camera frame. I use a Sony A6400 camera and the grip suits my setup very well. I like the fact that it has 3 cold shoe mounts on the front of the handle. If you're the type that connects a lot of accessories, you can easily attach them to this handle. If you're already good at holding your camera then you hardly need a cage, you can probably get by with a single grip.
