Great so far! Updated: still great!

I'm from the land of ice and snow, but I share a thermostat with three lizardmen. I needed something to draw air from the hallway into my room without affecting my happiness. I installed this fan as soon as I received it and I am thrilled. I turned it on, high speed, and immediately appreciated the airflow. There's a bit of a high-pitched hum in the fan noise, but I stopped noticing it after a while. I heard it more clearly in the hallway next to my office, but no one else commented, and again I stopped noticing. That first day, as I was leaving the office to run an errand, I hit the power button... and found the 'Low' setting. It's significantly quieter and still has noticeable airflow. The lower oscillation setting was ideal for most days. I sometimes use the high setting when the weather outside suddenly gets warmer and the HVAC system isn't ready for the change. I like the jiggling on both settings - it moves slowly, which is nice. And the jiggling itself doesn't make any noise, which is nice. And that was all _after_ I dropped it on the floor and juggled some stuff between my house and my car to get to work. So far, so good. I bought this fan after reading millions of reviews about _other_ fans. I bought this one because it's cheap and sounds similar to many others both positively and negatively - if it's terrible, at least I didn't lose $50+ dollars. **UPDATE** 08/08/2017 great performance, this afternoon the fan at low speed drastically reduced performance. It still vibrates and ejects air, but barely noticeable at arm's length. The white noise aspect is greatly reduced. Haven't tried cleaning it yet - there was a lot of dust on the air intake grille. The high-power setting function, with and without an oscillator, is still flawless. **UPDATE** 9/13/2017 I believe he objected to the disconnect via the power strip it shares with a lamp, rather than the device controls. When I started using Device Control exclusively, it worked fine again. It's weird, but it's easy to customize.
