Review on MEN's MIER Shirts Sleeve: Lightweight Protection for Fashionable Men by Derick Carpenter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Comfortable but with an odd neckline

I chose this because I found most polo shirts are a bit short for easy unzipping. (Yes, it might be trendy, but not for me.) It was one of the few 3XL shirts available. As other reviewers have noted, the fabric is good and the color is exactly what I was looking for. However, there is a cut. Strange. First, the shoulders are very square, which can work for smaller sizes but rarely works for taller individuals. Second, the cuffs look like they have elastic, but in fact there is no elastic; They simply rely on the elasticity of the fabric. That means they flap a little. (I have large wrists and my cuffs are over an inch larger.) Third, the front of the shirt is just weird on either side of the zipper. It has a fairly prominent edge, and instead of going outwards from the bottom of the zipper, the panel connects to the shoulder seam near the neckline. This creates the feeling of a pair of laces hanging from the shoulders inside the shirt. Overall it's good value for money and the fabric is perfect for travel - it's easy to wash and pack away. But I've found myself wearing it a lot less than I expected and I think it's mostly due to the fit. It's just weird.

Pros
  • Great shirt, best quality
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with longer arms or upper body due to limited sleeve and shirt length.
