I have f***n fios and the router they shipped had an AG speed capability. Lately we've added a few tablets, smartphones etc so the wifi is ramped up. I got this dlink as I had loads of adapters and a previous old router from them and one day Amazon had a low price so I grabbed it. Overall I'm happy with it. I read a lot of posts on the internet about many different brands of high tech routers and it seemed to me that many of the posts said the firmware was the latest. Well I was in a hurry and a family was arriving with two teenagers and other tablets, phones and laptops so I hurried and dropped them. Worked fine for a while but started having problems, looked at the support page and they were talking about my problem and he said a firmware update was there to fix it. Of course my router version was 1.01 and I upgraded to 1.03 to fix my problems. Another issue is the naming of the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz networks and the passwords make both the name and the password unique. I also switched from automatic channel selection to fixed channel, now I'm satisfied. By the way, for a desktop computer connected to a wireless network, I bought a new DLink AC 1200 adapter (SWA-182), the video no longer stutters, and the download to the PC is fast, so mom is happy (for a minute! )
