At first I wasn't sure if she could handle the job. When it came in the mail I immediately put it on the table and hung my purse on it. I kept doing my homework. I was a little afraid it might break, but after an hour and a half it's still hanging there. Since then I've been using it when we eat out or go to a bar. My wallet averages about 4 pounds and this thing holds it with no problem. I'm very happy to have something to keep my wallet off the floor. It's also aesthetic. Looks the same as in the photo.
