Review on IeGeek 11 by Andy Edwards

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Travel Friendly

This DVD player is very convenient and practical. We don't use it in the car but in the trailer where we can't use a standard TV. It's worked with every store-bought or rental DVD we've tried so far (all region 1 or non-region, if that makes a difference). The screen shows a sharp and clear film image, although it is a TN display without a wide viewing angle. The device is lightweight and charges very quickly. The manual mentions "game mode" but I don't know what that is and haven't tested it. We bought it to watch movies and don't have a game controller anyway. It's a good thing to have multiple colors to choose from. Pause and resume are very fast. there were no problems. The biggest issue we have is that even at max volume the volume isn't that loud (this is when wearing headphones, tried two different pairs). I want to be able to turn up the volume to keep up with background noise; the missing star for volume. The sound quality is adequate and the movies sound like what I would expect having seen the movie before. Overall I'm happy with this device and it comes in handy when traveling. I would like to mention that the unit has one of those "free headrest cover if you write a review" cards that people have mentioned in some DVD player reviews. This doesn't affect my rating as we don't have kids and don't want to watch movies in the car, it was bought for desktop use only.
