Review on πŸ”Š Black Yamaha NS-555 3-Way Tower Speaker with Bass Reflex (Each) by Kero Sama ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

Acquired a subject a little over a year ago. Let's start with the fact that the budget was limited. I read a lot of reviews, and decided to take this particular model. Ordered in tandem with the amplifier "Yamaha A-S500". Naturally, I didn’t expect anything colossal from them at the first connection, it’s understandable, because the speakers should swing, I am familiar with this phenomenon from my own experience from the numerous headphones that I have visited. Headphones swayed for an average of 7 hours, and these speakers took a month, then there were only small changes in sound. At the first listening, they sounded at the level of a romantic tape recorder, no high frequencies and detail were found, they sounded like from a barrel. The bass was boozy and terrible, only then dynamism and clarity appeared, high and medium frequencies began to come out, dynamics in the bottoms. They sound better than many average music centers. If you buy a subwoofer, it will work well for films, I do not advise taking a receiver for films - it sounds lousy. In my opinion, high-quality stereo is better than mediocre 5.1. If you don’t have enough money for what you want, it’s better to save up. And take a worthy thing. Or reconsider. For some, these speakers are enough, for others not. But they are worth their money. Good luck with your choice.

Pros
  • They play well with an average sound source. Dynamic bass, good mids, what you need for rock. There is no buzzing infra-niss. Appearance is nothing like that.
Cons
  • At a low volume level, there is a strong lack of detail and high frequencies, it is worth considering this when choosing acoustics. But even at high volume, you should not expect extra detail and an abundance of high frequencies, especially if you are an aesthete. They will be higher, but not by much. But the difference is still felt from the position of the volume knob.
