So messed around. I love this game so I bought it and just played it for the first time. Apparently too late to return it despite being defective. Two of the pieces have markings large enough to be identifiable for someone to select during gameplay. I mean, all you have to do as a quality control company is make sure there's a letter on one side and nothing on the other. They make so much money on every game that they could at least control the quality better. I wouldn't buy it from Amazon as it can't be returned within 30 days, but the store would be ok. (I haven't played until now).
