I like this particular block because a) it's light and small, b) it's remote. My stepdaughter likes to play with the lights - we have a large block in our main living room that can be turned on at times. I'm a fan - back in the 70's my uncle was actually on the engineering team that created the first motorized disco ball (yes, just like it was in Saturday Night Fever.) So the idea of light modulation/mapping has always been a blow to me. I put this smaller one in her bedroom and she can play with it there when we don't want the main room to "glare!" The remote control means I can mount them in a corner so they don't fiddle with the physical controls , approach the emitter and accidentally look inside - a nice safety feature in my opinion.
