TLDR; Works, works well and is quite intuitive to use. Firstly there is a non-touchscreen version, if you use it a lot the touchscreen is worth the extra money. Works on 2.5 and 5 GHz or can be connected via USB. Teachers, I have found these scanners to be very useful during distance learning. I have an Epson, but it's having some trouble scanning something that isn't a regular sheet of paper. This scanner was a huge upgrade, mostly because of the software, for both the PC and the machine you drive. from the touch screen is such a big upgrade. After this, If you set it up from the home screen, you can scan to folder, scan to email, scan business cards, scan receipts and send to the cloud. Sometimes I need to scan a document and upload it to the web. The OCR recognition is also an improvement over my Epson and means I spend less time correcting errors in material I've scanned for students. I'm actually not sure why, the ABBYY Finereader software is the same, but this scanner makes about half the errors of my old Epson. When folded, it takes up quite a lot of space, you need space to expand the scan paper holder vertically. and horizontal for paper after it has been scanned. My Epson tends to eject paper from the scanner but this one doesn't. The paper remains on the scanner. When you open the scanner, it turns on (above). It flags blank pages so you can delete them while scanning or, if you prefer, do it yourself. It determines if a page is in color even if it's mixed with black and white pages! Theoretically it makes 40 pages per minute, and that is very close to reality. I got about 42 pages, 36 pages, and 43 pages in three attempts. Set the "best" mode. You can set it to normal, best, best, or great (this slows things down noticeably, I'm getting about 9ppm in great mode). It works better with crumpled pages, but still gets crumpled sometimes if the paper isn't flat or smooth. You can as PDF, save searchable PDF or JPEG. You can set up something called profiles to send everything you scan to a specific folder, e.g. B. Receipts can be moved to a file in the cloud and a business card to another location. You can choose your own symbols. You can also set up up to 5 people to have their own icons. Cons: Not really for things like photography. They look good, but the quality is in no way inferior to the original photo. This is for documents, for practical use. There is no Ethernet port. Does not support TWAIN/ISIS. with their own symbols.
