I'm 5'6" and 170 lbs but I have unusually broad shoulders so I wear a size L in all my shirts. I'm stuck with this one too Bought a size up and I would describe the fit as very tight, like a compression shirt. Now it wasn't exactly unexpected, but I have to say that I found it too uncomfortable to wear, so I stopped wearing it after the first day in the pool. I still give 5 stars because it looks good (like the promotional photo), dries quickly enough (not lightning fast) and I haven't gotten a sunburn after four hours or more in the sun. So if you like it or can stand it, that's the feeling of a compression shirt, it's good for you.
