You will either love this scent or hate it. If you think it's "normal," then it's probably in a place you don't visit often, like under your closets. I put it in the back seat of my car so it acts like a car freshener a foot from my face, and even back there it's potent enough to fill my car with its scent. When I don't want to use it, I just close it and it turns off, which I think is the best thing about this product. This feature extends the life of the product and also doesn't bother anyone in my car who doesn't like it. A car air freshener usually cannot do that! Also note that this can be enough to freshen up an entire room. Put it under or on one of your tables and you know it works. The only downside for you will be if you like the smell, but it's still not too overpowering if you're not crazy about the scent.
