Maybe it's just me, but this seems to work intermittently. Sometimes it feels much cooler than other times.I put it on my pillow and then covered it with the pillowcase that matches my sheets, so that might affect the cooling effect. Still, I can definitely feel the difference in the cooling side versus the other side.One frustrating thing: The description says machine washable, but there were no washing instructions with the item. To be safe, I washed it on the gentle cycle and hung it up to dry.Overall, it's comfortable, and it works most of the time, so I recommend it if you're looking for ways to cool down while you sleep.
