These pumps are surprisingly comfortable. I bought this for a friend's wedding and had absolutely no problem standing in it and chatting over a cocktail or dancing the night away. My legs didn't hurt with these bad boys. And I never wear heels. I wear flip flops (thongs), toms and hoki (for 12 hour hospital shifts). It's all I ever wear. I didn't even wear heels to my own wedding. But these shoes. I'll tell you. They are adorable and easy to wear. The side buckle can be closed quickly. So if you've never used one of these, don't think it's broken. I had to google how to use them but this made them a lot easier to put on. I haven't had any issues with fraying or loose straps. The only problem I had was the left shoe rubbing the tip of my fourth toe on my left foot (next to my pinky toe) but it didn't hurt as long as it rubbed amazingly. But it left a place that needed healing. They also didn't bite the back of my ankles. They also hold the ground well. I even danced MC Hammer's Can't Touch This in those tracks and they didn't let me down. I will keep buying again and can't wait to wear them again. Oh, I'm 240 pounds too, so they were actually comfortable with all that weight on them. Definitely great shoes.
