Some comments on the Quatar site say you need a wheel assembly, but I only attached the tires to the iRobot ROOMBA 985. Simple 4-step instructions on the website don't apply directly to the 985, so I watched a couple of U-tube videos on how to access the 985's wheel wells. They showed me the location of all the bolts on the rear and how to mount the wheel on the 985. 985. I didn't have to remove the wheel from the wheel to put a tire on. The hardest part was getting the old tires off. The original tires were not only glued, but also had rubber plugs in the holes in the wheel. The included metal element bends easily when the tire is removed. Although it helped to put the tire back on after putting it on the wheel. I needed a knife and pliers to remove the old tire from the wheel. The included small screwdriver helped, but my magnetic-tipped screwdriver works better and is less of a nuisance for tiny screws. After taking the 985 apart, I spent an hour cleaning every nook and cranny. Tires work fine now.
