Two of these have been in my freezer for 15 years and they still work great. I've given many other gifts, sometimes to good friends, so that when I go to their house and they serve white wine, I don't have to drink it too warm. If your bottle of wine is at room temperature, it will take a good 20 minutes to chill it. If it's already cold, it will keep the right serving temperature - around 40F - for at least an hour or two - most bottles don't last longer than I do at my house! I also bought a couple for champagne bottles - they work well too.
