I bought this phone recently in March to replace my old AT&T phone which is currently not holding a charge. I needed a phone at a good price, with caller ID, answering machine and the ability to use a headset like my original phone. So I found this one. It was between that and Panasonic. In the end I decided on this one. Very glad I did. My other phone had so much noise and echo. This one is not for me. I can hear everyone clearly and loudly. You can hear me too which is a big plus. I had this problem with my 6 year old phone. It's easy to set up, just add numbers to the phonebook and just turn off the ringer on the base and handset. So far it keeps a long talk time. Well, again, I didn't speak for more than 49 minutes, and my 6-year-old didn't even last 15 minutes. So for me it's a long time. Ha ha. I would say if you are looking for a good phone at a great price. I think this is obtainable.
