This dress is very beautiful but terribly itchy. I don't think my daughter will make it through her entire birthday with this. So I had to order another dress. I'm sure she'll wear it in the photos and then we'll have to alter her. She is of average height and weight for a 4 year old. I would stay with your normal size or go up a size.
