Nearly perfect and economical

Purchased for iPad Mini 4. Fits perfectly. The back is a hard plastic mount that allows the iPad to snap firmly into place, but I had no trouble taking it off. All cutouts fit well; Volume buttons, speakers, camera lens, etc. It has a magnetic closure that activates the iPad. It's strong enough to keep the iPad closed when held upside down, but not strong enough to keep the lid attached to the back when open (like Apple's "smart lid" does). This seems to be the only "scam" I've come across so far. The outside of the cap is matte on the back so it has some grip value. The front is made of a soft but "metallic" material, while the inside is made of a spongy-soft material. I suspect this helps protect the screen. I bought "gold metallic". The color is nice, if not exactly matching the gold of the iPad. If that bothers you (and I don't), the gold tint on the iPad is a little more pink than gold. It's not enough to belittle it and doesn't really stand out. In fact, it just looks like the shadows/lighting are hit differently. I love this case and for the price I am happy with this purchase. I would recommend and bookmark this product for future occasions that I may need.
