The product does what it says on the tin, it doesn't slip but it's so light and today's phones are relatively heavy compared to the mount itself that if you bend a little quickly or braking hard, even at low speed, the weight of the phone can cause the mount to tip over and the phone to fly over the dashboard. There isn't enough weight or surface tension to offset the energy generated by the phone's weight and the vehicle's speed to prevent a horizontally mounted phone from tripping under certain conditions that are part of normal driving. So if the phone is mounted horizontally as expected it will work for a while and if you want to use this holder to mount your phone vertically it won't heat up at all.
