Bought because they look solid. They're hard on the outside but SHIT on the inside. Even with the most careful care, they only last for a short time. They stop working after a few months. As an electronics expert, this tells me that the connections at the ends are of poor quality or the internal wires are of poor quality. In any case, expect them to fail after a short time. If it's within the return period you'll get a few new ones, but they won't last either, unless you're lucky enough to snag a rare good one that lasts a bit longer.
