I bought a calming spray to prepare for a visit to the vet clinic for my two cats. I sprayed the straps 15 minutes before the ride as instructed. The cats cried all the way to the vet's office. There my sweetest and most obedient cat went into a rage. It took two technicians and a vet to vaccinate her. I have never seen my cat be this aggressive towards anyone, vet or not.
