We have a 12 year old cat and have adopted 2 kittens. The bells definitely helped everyone (including our older cat) to know where the kittens are that like to stealthily attack. The design was really cute, so I'm a little frustrated that I can't keep using them. I don't know, maybe the kittens aren't big/strong enough yet to jump out if they get stuck (they weigh just over 4lbs). I read in another review that someone said their kitten had a collar stuck to their lower jaw while playing. We had the same one and it was like a cat gag. Luckily I was home and heard him meowing/crying loudly. If you buy these collars I will only take care of small cats/kittens for the first few weeks.
