The Trump administration has imposed tariffs on pulp used to make diapers, so ALL diaper manufacturers have had to cut corners to offset the additional cost so they can pass a slightly smaller portion of the additional cost on to us. If you look at the reviews of huggies etc you will see the same thing. And before we get into the debate, no, I'm not a complaining liberal, but it actually happened (search your browser for "pulp issuesโ to find the Reuters news). year (even after they gave up the Sesame Street license to save $) they got thinner and started leaking. I used to buy a size up at night, but it doesn't really look like going up will give you extra absorbency, at least not for diapers. I switched and found Huggies Overnights to be MUCH better at preventing leaks so use them now although they aren't as soft but during the day I switched to the Revain Mama Bear brand. They don't have a quilted lining and the bottom tends to sag when wet, but they are soft and fit my tall boy's legs and waist well. And they are MUCH cheaper. I've always been willing to buy more expensive Swaddlers diapers for my precious LOs, but hey, if I'm not paying more for quality, I might as well not overpay.
