They are very strong and hold up very well, sometimes too well and I can't take them off! I had a little bend but I was able to bend it back easily enough to shape it. My king snake is a MASTER at picking locks, especially those horrible plastic locks that never stay and he couldn't even pick them! My friend's python is a real beast, he's probably stronger than me and he uses this lock on his huge cage and he never managed to escape either!
