Yes it's a genuine Honda part
I ordered this because my check engine light came on. I checked the system with my trusty OBD2 device and got error P1457, EVAP control system leak. The most common cause of this type of error is a defective gas cap, which is why I ordered this gas cap. Others have mentioned that 3rd party gas caps don't always solve this problem and fit Honda original parts. The "Check Engine" light reset when I replaced the gas cap. come back to fix the problem.
