In a year or so I'll be looking back at that comment and thinking what an idiot I was, but WOW, 8GB in such a small form factor. It is really incredible. The write speed was "good", not very fast, but I try not to use it as a flash drive or anything like that on a regular basis. It works great with the USB dongle that comes with the card (which is also small) and overall the card was a good buy. The reader was an added (albeit necessary) bonus as it reads MicroSDHC cards and fits in your pocket without taking up much space. all in one place, that's good too, right?): Minimum transfer rate: 4.2 MB/s Maximum transfer rate: 18.5 MB/s Average transfer rate: 10.2 MB/s Access time: 6.4 ms Transfer rate: 3 .9 MB/s One more side note: this might be obvious to most people (as it should be if you've previously bought flash or hard drive storage), but you only get 7786 MB (not 8 GB). It's not a big deal, but if you're buying this card for a 7.9GB file or something like that, you'll have to look elsewhere for large file storage. Tl; dr I really appreciate the card but the transfer speed is too slow to give it a perfect rating.
