Good cables are worth it

I did a bit of research when I got my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S8 is a great phone) as this is the first time I needed USB-C cables. It looks like Anker has applied the same quality to their USB-C cables as they do to their MicroUSB cables. Here's what I really liked: 1. Good solid construction. Neither USB-A nor USB-C cable ends hang out of the connector at all. There are also no gaps between the cable and the plastic connector for dirt to collect.2. Powerful stress reliever. Very few cables have adequate strain relief, which over time can lead to cable wear and shield separation. I don't see the strain relief on these cables failing over their lifetime. They are very well built.3. Thick but flexible screen. The shielding on the cable is nice and thick, but not made of too hard plastic. This gives the cable very little memory and prevents small bends and kinks in the cable. This is similar to the thicker version of the shield found in CAT5/CAT6.4 cables. Velcro closures at both ends. This is a particularly nice feature. Not only does this make it easier to roll up the cable and prevent it from getting tangled, but you can also use it to clean other cables behind your computer. USB cables are not impressive. Most people don't think about it much, but I'm glad Anker took the time to make good ones.
