Size 34-36 is correct. My waist is 33.5 inches in pants. If you're 36, that's fine. The material is thin, the buckle looks smaller and the details merge with the buckle. The buckle looks better than it is in the picture. In general I like it. Fits my needs. I think it costs about half as much, but traditional clothing is always more expensive.
