These worked well for under my wet suit. A lot of surfers wear nothing under their we suit. When we go to the beach we go with family and are commonly in and out of wet suits depending on the beach activity. I needed something to wear under my wet suit. My regular swim suit bunches up in the suit and it looks funny and feels funny. These little swim trunks didn't bunch and provided just enough coverage to be able to take the wet suit off in a public area without exposing myself. I typically just wore my regular suit over this suit. This little suit by itself raised a few eye brows, so I wore my regular board shorts over the top. Worked great.
